A successful human development professional, Steve Calandro joined Penumbra in 2003 as an analyst, trainer and coach. With extensive experience in performance management, learning management, executive coaching and leadership development, Steve specializes in analyzing and closing performance gaps by applying proven principles from the fields of adult learning, behavioral science, psychology, language and business.
Prior to joining Penumbra, Steve was an independent performance consultant working with clients in high tech, retail, government and education. He's held leadership positions at a global satellite telecommunications firm, the 6th largest international bank, a Fortune 500 national retailer and a major US University.
A native of Brooklyn, New York now based in the Washington, DC area, Steve is a graduate of New York University's School of Business and is working toward a master's degree in Human Performance Systems at Marymount University. He is a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement, the American Society for Training and Development and the International Coach Federation. He's a Certified NLP Practitioner and qualified in several multirater and psychometric assessment tools.
